My Daughter Is The Most Beautiful Girl In Nigeria – Okorocha (Picture)
Governor Rochas Okorocha, has said that he is proud to have one of his daughters as the most beautiful girl in the country.
The Governor met with the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MISS NIGERIA), Miss Ugochi Ihezue who is an indigene of Imo State at the Government House, Owerri on Tuesday.
Okorocha described the MBGN as a good example of what a youth should be, adding that her status as MISS NIGERIA would be an encouragement to other youths in the State.
His words, “I am proud that my daughter is the most beautiful girl in Nigeria. We are proud of you. We salute your courage, tenacity and we commend you for the carriage with which you carry this crown.
“I know how tedious it is to win this kind of award, a lot of things got involved not just beauty but brain equally. This award shows that you have outstanding contents in your brain. Government will support you in your programs to see that you actualize your dreams.
“This will equally encourage our young ones to focus more on their dreams. “Akokwa is very key to the development of the Ideato nation. Government will do everything within its powers to complete the dualization of Orlu/Akokwa road, and the Orie Akokwa market.
“I have the genuine intention of making it a modern market but a lot of structures need to go down for the market to take its full shape.”
Heart Breaking! Nigerian Student Kidnapped And Killed In Cyprus (Photo)
This is so sad as reports coming out of Cyprus indicate that a Nigerian student, Kennedy Toomwabwa Dede, was abducted and killed by some men in the country.
Police reports revealed that Kennedy Toomwabwa Dede was assaulted by 8 people, yesterday, kidnapped from his car, taken to the Çanakkale Pond, seriously beaten and killed there.
Three Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus citizens, namely, OK (E-18), ZK (E-22) and B.Ç. (K-16), have been arrested in connection with the case. It ha not be ascertained what transpired between the victim, Kennedy Toomwabwa Dede and his assailants.
This is not the first time that Nigerian student and citizens will be murdered in the Turkish-controlled country. Recall in 2015, reports were rife of a Nigerian student, Ebinabo Mendeinyo, who allegedly jumped to his death from the sixth floor of his apartment building.
After thorough investigation by the police of the country it was revealed that the young student was actually stabbed to death by some of his countrymen because of a fracas they had over a Zimbabwean girl at a party earlier that day.
One Nigerian student, Jerry Uduimoh, popularly called called MC Jerry, a comedian and event host amongst the Nigerian community, was arrested in connection with the murder of Mendeinyo.
The North Cyprus Police had noticed stab wounds on the deceased’s body, hence the reason they intensified their inquiry into the death of the young man and it was eventually revealed that he was stabbed to death by not less than six of his countrymen.
According to reports, there was a fight between Mendeinyo and another Nigerian over a girl said to be a Zimbabwean. After the incident, the other Nigerian in company with five other men, first drove to Mendeinyo’s friend’s house, kidnapped him and forced him to take them to the house where the student lived.
They made the guy they had abducted to knock so that the victim would open the door without suspecting and when Mendeinyo opened the door, he was allegedly stabbed and his throat slit. After that, they threw his body to the ground floor to make it seem that he had jumped.

The young girl who has a history of self-harm messaged her mum saying ‘I love you, but so sorry’ on the day she died, an inquest has heard.

She had been reported missing by her mother, acclaimed novelist Nicola Harlow, who later had to identify her body. Bradford Coroner’s Court official Bernard Tate said: ‘Ursula Keogh lived with her mother and had a history of self-harm.
‘Her mother contacted the police to raise concerns for her daughter and said she had received a text message from her which said: ‘I love you but so sorry’.
‘Her body was found by officers later that day in a small river that runs under the North Bridge in Halifax.
‘Ursula’s mobile phone was found on the bridge above where she was found. Notes were later recovered which indicated suicide ideation.’
No witnesses were called during the brief five-minute opening hearing. Ursula’s mother did not attend the hearing and no cause of death for the youngster was given.
Assistant coroner David Urpeth said: ‘This is an utterly tragic case involving the death of a young girl.

Dj Cuppy Takes Her Relationship With Asa Asika Official
Popular Nigerian female Disk joker, Dj Cuppy has been seen to be taking her relationship with her new love “Asa Asika” to the next level, who both has been spoken of to be dating.
In her post on Instagram she called her lover “someone special” and that it was time she takes him to her father on a dinner date to get to meet her billionaira father, Femi Otedola.
Victor Anichebe who was the former boyfriend of the popular Dj was seen during the holiday bringing his Belgian girlfriend to Nigeria, to see his parent and Dj Cuppy made a subtle reaction to that incident. She posted on her social media timeline that she was ready to get married too this year.
In her Instagram post, she wrote : “When he finally gives you the #Greenlight” And that kept a lot of people wondering who the guy was as she had not been associated with any man as at then.
At the earlier part of the year, it was revealed that Cuppy and Asa Asika were in South Africa together and social media commentators immediately dotted the lines and made a connection with her cryptic posts. It was then concluded that Dj Cuppy’s new boyfriend was Asa Asika, which she came out to deny even.
In her reaction Cuppy said:
‘Asa and I have known each other for about 10 years even before I became a DJ. He is such an inspirational person, if you look at his story and the way he rose in the industry,’
Asa had been previously appointed as a manager to her upcoming tour and she said this about his appointment:
‘I would not be able to do this tour without him. He is a manager that knows his onions and he is very ambitious. When I was putting my team together, I considered a lot of people but I believe in this generation.
Asa and I are alike because we are both fighters. Working together can be a good or bad thing but what I know is that we would put together a great show. I think it is fantastic to have a friend on board. We are not dating and we have never dated each other before.’
Everything is getting clearer day after day as the two have been seen having a dinner with the father of the Dj, the person of Femi Otedola .

Female Artist In The Industry Should Learn To Cooperate – Yemi Alade
Entertainment
While giving her advises in her rant on snap she blamed pettiness and their lack of vision for the small number of ladies in the Nigerian music Industry, Yemi Alade tried to encourage the female artiste to emulate their male counterparts through cooperation. She had this to say:
‘Ladies can we just get together, respect each other and not put ourselves against each other’, the Mama Africa singer started.
“Because we put ourselves against each other that’s why the whole world always put us against each other. I know about female artists who when you want to feature them on an album they have to be the only female artiste on that album.
If they are not the only one on the album they won’t feature, that is why we are so few. It’s so petty, we are the cause of our downfall. Go and see the guys and see how they are doing well and killing it, it’s by cooperation and division of labour, we can’t do it alone”, Yemi Alade concluded.
Comedian Bovi Advises Dorcas On Her Rape Incident
Nigerian comedian, Bovi ongoing topic between actress Dorcas Shola Fapson and a Taxify driver she alleged tried to abduct and rape her.
He took to his Instagram page to write her an open letter and to, as well encourage Dorcas to keep her chin up and not let the accusations from Nigerians affect her.He writes to her as a friend that refuses to remain silent “while a section of society bashed you these past few days”.
Read his Open Letter below:-
Dear Dorcas,
I’m compelled to write you a public letter because I have an overwhelming urge to participate in the public discuss of your recent episode.
As a friend, I will feel I failed you by remaining quiet while a section of society bashed you these past few days.
But rather than defend you to a group of people who don’t know you personally and who have made up their minds even in the face of overwhelming evidence, allow me to publicly tell you about your experience,
what you did right and what you should have done differently.
First off, your biggest crime in all of this was not fitting into the stereotype! You’ve been dragged in many sections for being bold and courageous under fire.
While the taxi driver was taken you to a wrong destination, just because your voice was firm and assertive, it seemed as though nothing troubling was happening.
While the driver restrained you from coming down from the taxi, you pepper sprayed him and your voice and resolve was still not broken. This too doesn’t fit the stereotype.
If it was a scene out of a movie, the director would probably ask you to scream, cry, be shaken and even beg to be let go. In the eyes of many, you were too bold, too calm, too calculated for a lady.
To this I say a big kudos. Don’t stop. Don’t change. Because the fact remains, as far as he took you to a destination against your will in the middle of the night, you were abducted. That is a crime punishable by law.
Somewhere, some girl is inspired by your boldness.
Next time though, it will be wiser to get down from the car as quickly as possible.
Do not take chances or hesitate. Safety first should be your watch word. Cynthia hesitated in festac. It didn’t end well.
If you had a PR expert by your side the next day, just before you posted those videos explaining what actually transpired, he/she would have worn you a very thick cardigan and wrapped you in a blanket. You would have been asked to speak in a “victim tone”.
All this would have been channeled to swing the narrative in your favor. Kudos to you, you weren’t trying to milk the situation, neither were you thinking of the mileage those videos will accumulate.
You see, perception is reality and in these parts, your outfit together with your still firm and assertive tone is synonymous with “troublesome girl” “ashawo” “runs”.
Pictures speak louder than words. On this issue I think what you should have done differently was to change the outfit.
But keep the assertive tone. When I was in Uni my dean of students took one look at me and concluded I was part of a bad gang. In reality I was just broke, hungry, angry and ugly. That’s the power of perception.
We live in a society where women are not encouraged to live in big houses as single ladies so that they don’t scare suitors away. This is basically catering to bloated egos while benching our women.

It is a shame but that is our reality. I know you are miffed at the accusations leveled against you.
Never let such bother you. Truth is, those who judged and condemned you don’t really hate you. A good majority of them hate themselves.
They are filled with hate and they can only give what they have; hate! So understand that it’s never really about you. It’s nothing personal actually.
We are with you. Learn and keep growing. Stay strong and succeed. See you at work.

The cattle rustlers infiltrated Kadarko community at about 4:00 am on Sunday, shooting sporadically in the air.
The victims of the attack, supposedly comprising mostly of herdsmen, alleged that the perpetrators were Tiv farmers, adding that it was a revenge attack.
Meanwhile, it was reported that the assailants kidnapped two persons, chasing other cows into the bush in the process.
One of the cow owners, Ahmed Abdullahi said the rustlers struck, when the villagers were asleep.
“I was sleeping and then I heard bullet sound everywhere, I didn’t see anybody but they killed my 73 cows, some of them were dispersed into the bush and I haven’t seen two of my children,” he said.
A chief in the village, Ardo of Yamadaga, Husseini Adamu, revealed that the attackers were about 1,000 in number, and they struck with various dangerous weapons.
“In the morning around 6:00 am, our children saw some Tiv people numbering up to 1,000 holding sophisticated weapons. They killed some cattle, went away with many.
“They even took motorcycles. Before I came, the place was already in chaos and we realised that at a spot they have killed 73 cows excluding the ones that they carted away with and also they went with two of our children,” he said.
Confirming the attack, the Nasarawa State Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Bello, told Channels Television that investigations are ongoing to uncover the identity of the attackers.

Seyi Shay Goes Completely Topless in New Photos (18+ Photos)
Nigerian singer, Seyi Shay is at it again and this time she went completely Tople$$ in promotional photos which was made public.
The photos are reportedly behind the scene shots from her latest music video ‘BIA’ shot by Clarence Peters in Lagos. Here are the photos below;
Recall that Seyi Shay created a buzz in December 2017, with the outfit she wore to a date after attending the Nigerian Entertainment Awards (NEA) 2017, which held in New York, United States.
The singer left little to the imagination clad in a sheer dress from NY-Based Senegalese designer Sukeina. The dress is called the “Coco” dress and it features ink silk fringes braided into black honeycomb mesh with black lace and crystal embroidery.
Seyi Shay accessorized the dress with a black pair of Christian Louboutin pumps and Harry Winston earrings.
Recall also that the outfit stirred up rumors, that she underwent cosmetic surgery to increase her Butt.
However Seyi Shay who reacted to the rumour told Punch;
I did not get this big bum through injections or surgery. If I did not do surgery on my B00bs, is it my backside I would then operate on?
“I have been getting a lot of compliments since my backside added. I wanted to do a boob job but I changed my mind and the reason is that I realised that I could fit into almost anything especially sample sizes from designers.
“Someone advised me to be doing squats. Till now, I spend most of my time in the gym.
“Having big B.uttocks was one of the good things that happened to me this year. I do 100 squats in the morning, in the afternoon I do 50 and then at night, I do another 100. It hurts a lot but it is worth it; I would not lie about that, the pain is worth
Addressing the transparent dress that broke the internet, Seyi Shay said, “I wore that dress in New York.
I dare not wear such in Nigeria. New York is one of the most fashion inclined cities in the world. The dress was made by Sokayna who is a crème de la crème designer in the world.
” He is Senegalese but he is doing very well for himself. Recently, Rihanna, Madonna and even Nicki Minaj, wore the same jacket I got from him. They all shop from him so it was an honour and a privilege to wear his piece.
“Why would I say no to such an offer? Even if the dress were a string, I would have still worn it.
Also, if I had worn anything underneath the dress, it would have spoilt the design, it was not designed for anything to be worn underneath it,
she added.

Messi had an earlier free-kick touched onto the post while Paulinho had another chance hooked off the line and Coutinho, a £142m signing from Liverpool, had a shot deflected wide.
Alaves were lively throughout and could have added a second goal soon after going ahead, Ruben Sobrino seeing a chance clawed away, while Ruben Duarte was denied by Gerard Pique’s block.
Suarez volleyed home after being teed up by Andres Iniesta for Barca’s equaliser before Messi’s brilliant set-piece near the end sealed the points.

BBNaija 2018: Checkout The 4 Things Nigerians Want To See In Season 3
BBNaija 2018: Checkout The 4 Things Nigerians Want To See In Season 3
As Nigerians await the kick off, here are five things they’re looking forward to seeing to this year.
Ebuka’s Fashion Statement
Ebuka returns as host of the show and we are sure that the media personality who broke the internet with his bold Agbada statement at BankyW and Adesua’s wedding has more surprising show-stopping styles to wow the audience this year. Remember his famous ‘bulge’ on the live show stage? So Ebuka, we are watching you o.
1. Live Romance
What’s not to love about watching people from diverse backgrounds come together, develop friendships which eventually evolve into whirlwind relationships. It’s not a hoax, watching TV characters fall in love is an amazing experience. It is interesting to note that former Big Brother housemates like Elikem and Pokello met and got married off the Big Brother show and are still waxing strong.
2. Undiluted Entertainment and Drama
The hate on Tboss especially for saying she deals only with men who own private jets, the love for Efe and his ‘Based On Logistics’ slogan, the romance between Bisola and Thin Tall Tony (whose gimmicks would later get him evicted by female Twitter) or Gifty’s fake ‘Mrs Malaprop’ accent, all made us glued to see what will become of each controversial moment, and these, my friends, is what we expect to see this year.3. Moral Lessons
When Tboss who was groped by her fellow housemate, Kemen, while she slept, the world waited for necessary actions the organisers of the show would take as their actions greatly determined if the show would be made or marred. He was eventually disqualified from the house and sent back to Nigeria, this move clearly showed that among other things, Big Brother is out here to emulate good m0rals.4. The Biggest Winner of the night
The three-month-show will eventually come to an end with the winner who will emerge from votes from all over the world. However, the last two weeks of the show is always something exciting to witness. It’s a time when Nigerians split allegiance between their favourite housemates fiercely campaigning for their favourite housemates. The tussle for BBNaija last year saw Nigerian rapper, Efe Ejeba emerge winner through a public revolution via his ‘based on logistics’ catchphrase but this year, the stakes just got higher! The winner is set to take home N45million naira worth of prices.
So who will emerge winner of Big Brother 2018? Let us see what this season holds shall we?

Most Popular Foods in Africa
Most Popular Foods in Africa
The continent of Africa is home to hundreds of different cultural and
ethnic groups and this diversity is reflected in its local cuisines,
driving the popularity of these foods across the continent. Jumia Food
shares 4 of the most popular foods in Africa.
Suya
This is a spicy shish kebab (skewered meat), especially popular in the West African region. It is traditionally prepared by the Hausa people of northern Nigeria, Cameroon, Niger, Ghana and some parts of Sudan (where it is called agashe). Suya is typically made with skewered beef, ram or chicken. The thinly sliced meat is marinated in various spices like salt, vegetable oil and other flavourings, and then barbecued. It is then served with further helpings of dried pepper mixed with spices and sliced onions.
Fufu
This is a stable food that’s common in many African countries especially Nigeria and Ghana. It is basically made by mixing and pounding separate equal portions of cassava and green plantain flour thoroughly with water, which is adjusted to either increase or decrease the viscosity of the Fufu depending on your preference. Other flours like semolina, maize flour or mashed plantains can be used in place of cassava flour. Fufu is a finger food (eaten with the fingers) and is usually served with light or draw soups like groundnut soup, okro soup etc.
Jollof Rice
This is a popular rice dish in many West African countries especially Nigeria and Ghana. It is consumed throughout the regions of Nigeria, Ghana, Senegal, Gambia, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Togo, Cameroon and Mali. The dish is basically a mixture of rice, tomatoes and tomato paste cooked with onions, salt, spices (such as nutmeg, ginger, Scotch bonnet, curry, thyme etc) and chilli pepper. Other ingredients like vegetable, meats and/or fish can be added to the dish.
Nshima
This is a fufu-like staple food popular in Zambia and Malawi. Nshima is basically made from maize flour (white cornmeal) and water. It is widely eaten across Africa and is typically prepared by boiling maize flour with water into a porridge. It is then ‘paddled’ to create thick paste with the addition of more flour. Once cooked, the result (Nshima) is portioned and dipped in water or coated in oil called ‘Chipande’. The Nshima is usually eaten with two side dishes known as ‘relishes’; one of the side dishes is dubbed the ‘protein source’ and is called ‘Ndiyo’, and the other is dubbed the ‘vegetable side’ and is called ‘Masambaor’.
